Identifying the evil

Identifying and understanding an evil individual can be a challenging task, but a crucial one. Evil people engage in harmful actions and behaviours, but defining them with exact words can be quite difficult. However, when faced with an encounter with an evil person, the definitions become almost irrelevant. You just seem to know it when you see it. You won't have to go to crime-ridden areas to find an evil person, they are present in everyday places like schools, churches, and even in the homes of our closest friends and family members. Here are 6 warning signs that can help you recognise evil people.

2/8

Pleasure from someone’s misfortune

One distinctive trait of evil people is their tendency to take pleasure in the misfortune of others. It's almost as if they get a sense of satisfaction from others suffering. In some cases, this twisted satisfaction might even drive them to intentionally create situations that lead to misery.

3/8

Control issues

Control-seeking behaviour is a typical trait among evil people. Although they may appear to be calm and pleasant on the outside, they have a relentless drive for power. They have influence over both their own life and the people around them. They attempt to control and influence your actions over time, leading you along a predetermined route.

4/8

Persistent dishonesty

Dishonesty is a universal trait to some extent, but evil people take it to another level. Their lies are not just occasional, they lie habitually and, at times, without even realising they're doing so. These lies often become so built into their minds that they start to construct their own distorted reality.

5/8

Misleading and manipulation

A primary source of power for evil individuals is their manipulation of reality. They distort facts, misquote information, and present a different version of events to serve their selfish desires. This creates a world that aligns with their justifications, making it difficult for you to know what is the truth and what is not.

6/8

Avoid responsibility

Evil people often lack a moral compass, leading them to avoid taking responsibility for their actions. Instead of acknowledging their mistakes, they shift the blame onto others or manipulate situations to absolve themselves. Accepting fault is perceived as a sign of weakness, something they refuse to do.

7/8

Warnings from others

If friends or family warn you about someone's behaviour, take their advice. These cautionary tales might offer perceptions of a person's genuine character. It's common for loved ones who have personally been hurt by an evil individual to shield you from similar situations. Evil people seem to emit an unsettling aura that presents as discomfort to people. It's as if your inner instincts are sensing something that you don't like.
