Has this happened with you?

We all wish for money and things we cannot afford otherwise. As per ancient Hindu scriptures, it is often said that Maa Saraswati sits on the tongue at any given time during the day and if you end up making a wish at this time, then that wish is definitely fulfilled soon. Also called the "Zubaan par Saraswati" moment, some people swear by these incidental manifestations. Here are some honest confessions of women and men who experienced this moment and it will make you believe in this too.

Got to relocate to Dubai

Until this moment, I never believed in the "Zubaan par Saraswati" saying and now I do, and how! My husband and I had been discussing relocating to Dubai and within 2 days, he got an opportunity from his workplace to relocate there! It came with certain terms and conditions but nothing that we could not adjust to. I quickly pushed him to grab it because such windows of opportunity are timed and require quick thinking.

I received my favourite chocolates unexpectedly

We all wish for things we crave or cannot afford otherwise and that is what happened. I earn enough to run the house but there will always be “hazaaron khwahishen aisi” (thousands of unfulfilled desires). It was 10 a.m. when I told my mother that I wished our visiting guests bring me this expensive brand of chocolate, that's when the bell rang. I was still in the middle of expressing my sugar-laden wants to my Maa when the guests entered and the first thing they handed me was the same chocolate I was craving for! This is the first time I experienced the famous saying “ "Zubaan par Saraswati baithi hai”.

I found a Rs 500 note on the floor

It was during my college days in 2010, when I got a pocket money of Rs. 100 per week. My parents were always very strict when it came to expenditure and followed a budget and this was an amount I had to use for the entire week including my bus pass. I was desperate for money because I wanted to binge on spring rolls from my favourite fast food joint. All I said was "Oh God, I hope I find a Rs 500 note on the road" and believe it or not, I had just taken that turn towards the bus stop when I found the note! At first, I thought it was fake, but it was not! My brother later joked that I should have asked for something more…

We got the loan for our new home

We were desperate to shift into a Home we could call ours. My wife and I had been trying to buy a new space for ourselves because of umpteen fights at home due to a joint family. The issue was the home loan and ofcourse the right flat too. One day, my 7-year-old daughter said it out loud that “Mummy, we will find our home today and you will also get a call for the monetary help…” Within half an hour, we got both the calls - our loan was sanctioned and the flat sellers had agreed to our quotation. Goddess Saraswati was indeed speaking through my daughter… or is she Saraswati herself, I wonder?
