Some people who we assume do not talk much, could be struggling to express themselves even if they want to talk. Sometimes, people don’t know how to put it across and have the fear of being misinterpreted or misunderstood. So, they decide to keep quiet.

There are people who are clinically depressed which makes them go into a shell. A depressed person can often be marred by so many thoughts that they just don’t want to talk. They also fear that if they talk, people will get to know that they are not happy and then ask several questions which they do not want to answer at all.
