Don't feel lonely, do these things instead

The whole world is not in a relationship, not everyone has found that special someone and Valentine’s Day Week is not exactly helping the single souls. It often happens that we tend to feel lonely during this time when we single people see couples holding hands, laughing around, taking pictures. To tackle such a situation and make ourselves feel good, there are several things that can be done. So worry not, scroll down and do them all!

2/7

Music boost

Never underestimate the power of music no matter what the situation is. Whenever you feel lonely, play positive music in the house. Anything that motivates you, boosts your mood, makes you feel good. You can also play those old Hindi classic numbers, podcasts or some entertaining interviews in audio. Many play their favourite sitcoms in the background while cooking and doing other chores.

3/7

Do a singles party

You are not the only one in the world when it comes to being single. If you know some nice neighbours who are single, friends who are not committed then throw a party for the single souls! Help elevate everyone’s mood around you. Keep a funny or funky theme, dress up, make some nice cocktails, snacks etc.

4/7

Going shopping

Some retail therapy is always good for the soul. Go to the malls or open spaces where you can shop till you drop. Buy that trinket you thought was expensive earlier but you know you can afford one. Have fun!

5/7

Explore your creative side

Can you cook? Do you love drawing? Channel your inner creativity like you did during the lockdown and put yourself out of that unnecessary self imposed misery. If you love music, play the guitar. Checkout tutorials on the internet.

6/7

Book world

Read a good novel, some amazing books, even romantic books would work. There is so much out there to occupy yourself with. Go for a light read or a heavy duty narration, whatever rocks your boat.

7/7

Do what you love

Gardening, cleaning, taking the neighbour’s or your own pet out for a walk, do whatever makes you feel good. It is important that you use the time to do something you like and a hobby which is productive.
