Are you both ready?

Planning a child is a meticulous task; something that can put your relationship to the test. If you or your partner aren’t prepared to have a child, it can get pretty difficult to battle the entire process of being prepared to commit and have the responsibility of a child. And so, it is of utmost importance that you and your partner are on the same page when it comes to having a baby. Here are some things you both should have an understanding about.

2/6

Do we want kids and why?

Before you both think about having a child, carefully analyse if you both are really ready to have a baby. It is a huge responsibility and not just any game. You should really consider if you both really want to have kids.

3/6

Do we have the time?

Amidst the busy schedules of your life, it can be very difficult to look after your child. Time management is very necessary to install a routine in your and your partner’s life, especially if it involves a kid.

4/6

Financial stability

Before you consider any other things, financial stability should be at the top of your list. It is very important to do adequate planning about financial security when you have a kid. Mediclaims, planning budgets etc. are some of the important things you and your partner need to keep track off. Without a proper financial plan, you might not be ready to support your child.

5/6

Beliefs and values

When it comes to a relationship, having different beliefs and values are alright as long as you both respect each other. But when a child comes into the picture, it is necessary that your child learns the best values and beliefs.

6/6

Childcare

Having the right access to proper childcare services is another important aspect you both need to take into consideration. There should be hospitals and doctors near your residence in case of emergencies. Your child will have to be vaccinated timely and will have to go for checkups.
