Here are some issues men face

In India, shaadi ka laddoo is somehow a priority over education and we all know that so you cannot disagree on it! However, the matrimonial app business may be booming but the issues faced are no joke. There are some serious concerns and when we spoke to some Indian men looking for their match on the platforms, they shared some of the problems they faced or are facing. Here are some of those honest issues.

2/5

Those fake profiles

"Matrimonial apps have been a mixed bag for me. On one hand, they offer convenience in finding potential life partners, but they also come with their share of problems. One of the most frustrating aspects is the prevalence of fake profiles. I've wasted time and energy chatting with people who turn out to be completely different from their profiles. It's disheartening and erodes trust in the process."

3/5

The platforms prioritise traditional values over compatibility

"As an entrepreneur, my busy schedule often limits my opportunities to meet people. While matrimonial apps seem like the solution, they tend to prioritise traditional values over compatibility. There's often a heavy emphasis on caste, religion, and horoscopes, which can overshadow genuine connections. This rigid mindset is a significant issue for me."

4/5

So many unproductive matches

"I've encountered a significant problem with the communication on these apps. Many women I've matched with rarely initiate conversations, which can feel one-sided. While I appreciate traditional gender roles, it's important for both parties to engage actively in the process. This dynamic often leads to unproductive matches."

5/5

Identity theft & harassment

"Privacy is a big concern. Matrimonial apps can expose personal information to the public, making it easier for people to misuse your data. I've heard stories of identity theft and harassment, which are unsettling. It's vital for these platforms to prioritize user safety."
