Here’s what fexting means

Have you ever wondered how the most powerful couple in the world solve their marital fights? It’s nothing out of the ordinary but something quite interesting. USA’s President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden have revealed that they prefer to argue by text when they are surrounded by other people. They have even termed this as, ‘fexting’! Let’s get down to decoding what this new, interesting term means.

2/4

Fexting- Fighting over text

Joe and Jill Biden avoid fighting in front of other people, especially their Secret Service Agents. Back when Joe was the Vice-President, they both used to settle their arguments via texts. This may be a quick way of settling disagreements for those, who aim to keep their conversations as private as possible and cannot afford to fight in front of others.

3/4

But can fexting solve problems entirely?

Fighting over text may seem like a quick solution but it can be detrimental to a relationship if not solved rationally. Solving a problem while texting doesn’t reveal the true nature of what people are feeling or what they are trying to say. Further complexities arise as not everything can be explained during texting. Hence, it is not always a rational way to solve fights, unless there is a huge emergency.

4/4

Why communicating upfront is the best option

Communicating with each other upfront is the best way to solve relationship problems as it allows both individuals to freely talk to each other and express their emotions to the fullest. This also gives them the chance to know what their partner has exactly been feeling.

Hence, ‘fexting’ may be Joe Biden and Jill Biden’s go-to way of solving their fights, but it may not easily work out for others! Clear and transparent communication is the best way to solve any relationship issues.
