Key differences between mature and immature love

Let's take a look at the differences

There are a lot of things when it comes to love. Two people in a relationship help each other to grow individually. Two partners learn a lot from each other during the course of their relationship. But things go haywire when two immature people come into a relationship as neither of the two admit their mistakes or are accountable for their actions. Whereas, when mature people enter a relationship, it accounts for a successful and beautiful bond. Let’s take a look at the key differences between mature and immature love.

2/7

Asking questions and solving problems

Immature relationships: People in an immature relationship have several doubts about their bond. They are unsure about the relationship and hence always ask questions like, “does he/she really love me?”

Mature relationships: People in mature relationships are very sure of themselves. They confidently answer doubts and any kind of questions about their relationship. They are never unsure.

3/7

Wanting more from the relationship

Immature relationships: People in immature relationships are always wanting more out of their partner. They are never satisfied with what their partner does for them.

Mature relationships: They are content and satisfied with their relationship. They know the importance of staying grounded and not expecting unrealistic things from their partner.

4/7

Individuality in a relationship

Immature relationships: People in immature relationships strive to become a single unit. They are like two halves of a person trying to be one.

Mature relationships: Couples in mature relationships never lose their individuality. Sure, they remain united but they adhere to their respective opinions, views and thoughts. They don’t try to impose their views on each other.

5/7

Staying motivated

Immature relationships: These couples slowly lose their spark as they don’t get the essence of love—perseverance and patience. Immature couples lose their drive and patience to deal with each other when things get nasty.

Mature relationships: Mature couples motivate each other to be the best version of themselves. Their spark doesn’t dry down and they are constantly trying to encourage each other while solving problems every step of the way.

6/7

Being dependent

Immature relationships: In this, couples aren’t sure of themselves. The partners are highly dependent on each other and can’t seem to survive on their own. They require each other’s assistance to go through every situation in life.

Mature relationships: The couples are not dependent on each other at all. They do not treat each other as ‘needs’ but as ‘wants.’ They make sure they don’t feel dependent on each other because the day this happens, it may turn toxic.
