Phrases you say which are keeping you single forever

Avoid saying such phrases

Have you ever realised why you have been consistently staying single, even though your efforts should have definitely gotten you a partner? There can be a plethora of reasons for that. Your personality may not be striking or you may not come across as a person who’s willing to commit to someone. This can be a result of your actions, mainly words. Unknowingly, the things you say affect your chances of getting into a relationship. Here listed are some phrases you may have been saying that has kept you single forever.

2/6

“I haven’t done anything like that…”

Being too defensive about things isn’t going to help you. Sometimes, you need to accept your mistakes and listen to others’ opinions because it will help you in the long run. Nobody wants to be with a person who always denies the truth.

3/6

“I hate being single…”

This may be surprising but nobody wants to be with a person who cribs about not finding love. Love is an emotion that can’t be forced. For some, it happens within an instant while others take forever to find their true love. And so, you have got to stop cribbing.

4/6

“This person doesn’t have this…or that…”

Being picky will get you nowhere. It is completely alright to keep your expectations high but don’t keep unrealistic expectations that can be a burden on your potential partners. Be less choosy because it’s hurtful for people to have their shortcomings pointed out.

5/6

“I hate that she/he is able to do this so well…”

Unhealthy competition between you and your partner can only instil feelings of resentment and hostility. If you are too competitive, nobody would want to be with you. There’s no competition in relationships because it’s a balanced share of emotions and support in every aspect of life.

6/6

“I have these many rules…”

Being with someone who always abides by rules is simply boring. There’s nothing exciting about following stringent rules that shouldn’t even be there in the first place. People don’t want to be held down, but let free. And your rules aren’t going to help you secure a partner this way.
