Check out these confessions!

Being a marriage counsellor is all things hard. From going to and fro from one client to another and teaching them all about relationships, it can get really exhausting. Marriage counselling is a tough job because it requires them to direct towards what is right and what is wrong. Actually, you will be surprised to see what marriage counsellors go through on a daily basis. Here’s what an anonymous marriage counsellor confessed to us!

2/7

Taking a side

“I hate it when clients tell us to pick a side. They indirectly ask for my opinion in a way where they expect me to pick sides. They don’t understand that I teach them how to nurture a relationship not pick a side.”

3/7

Picky fights

“I am guilty to admit it but sometimes it is quite entertaining to see couples fight. It shows how shallow they are, even if they have come to solve their problem. I stay quiet just to see how couples fight sometimes.”

4/7

Being biased

“I sometimes get pretty biased towards someone. Taking a side completely and being biased towards someone is entirely different because my opinion also gets formed by the situation the particular person or couple is in. And most of the time, it is one person who is at fault.”

5/7

Charge per session

“I indirectly charge my clients more through session discounts because sitting for hours every day listening to couples’ sob stories and solving them is more than what should I be getting!”

6/7

Cheating clients

“The number of clients I have who are the other man or woman in the relationship is unexpected and huge. People come to me when they want to solve their inner issues. What’s quite surprising is that quite a number of people want to break up the couple whose partner they are in a relationship with.

7/7

Hating clients

“This is quite unprofessional of me but sometimes, I hate my clients. Some of them have huge egos or some are simply narcissistic. How they treat their partner makes me even question the sanity of these couples sometimes!”
