Keep these things in mind to have a special first date!

Many things can go wrong on the first date. You can stutter, look too nervous or simply say all the wrong things that can altogether be a huge turn-off for your partner. Surprisingly, most people just can’t understand how their actions can turn a first date into a nightmare. To help all the confused single people out there, here are some things you should never, ever do on the first date.

2/6

Do not ill treat waiters, drivers or other staff

This is one of the foremost things that people notice on the first date. The way you treat the staff at the restaurant or cafe, tells a lot about how your treat people generally. And if you’re rude to them, it instantly puts you in a bad light.

3/6

Checking your phone

Constantly checking your phone on the first date can be super annoying for your date. It is rude and disrespectful. It gives your date the impression that you’re not interested in spending time with them or investing in the date.

4/6

Being self-obsessed

Don’t appear too self-obsessed on the first date. Ask your date about their life, work, friends etc. Blabbering about only yourself will make your date lose interest in you quickly. And on top of all this, don’t you dare mention your ex.

5/6

Paying the bill

Don’t sit tight and let your date pay the bill on the date. It’s 21st century where people either take turns paying the bill or split it. It’s an instant turn off to see your date sit idle or not even make the effort to grab their wallet when the bill comes through.

6/6

Giving advice

Don’t give unsolicited life advice to your date. They came to have a fun outing with you; they aren’t there for you to give them advice. This can kill the mood as nobody wants to hear how they could make the best out of their underrated career.
