Tips to drive away ‘buri nazaar’

How can you drive away negative energy?

When we pray for good luck, we often forget about the chances of the evil eye stealing our happiness and luck. Popularly known as ‘buri nazaar’, Indians are very particular about catching the attention of the evil eye and spirits. And to avoid disappointing situations, people look for tactics to drive away the negativity and the evil spirits. And so, here are some of the ways to protect yourself and your family from the evil eye, as suggested by Dr. Jai Madaan.

2/5

Protect your things with jeera

Jeera or cumin seeds is an excellent protector when it comes to the evil eye and spirits. So, keep some amount of jeera with the object or thing you want to protect.

3/5

Jeera with salt

Mix jeera with salt and spread it on the floor of your home or office. This will reduce or eliminate the chances of evil spirits entering your private space. This will not allow the evil aura to spread further than the intended place where you’ve placed the jeera with salt.

4/5

Aroma

Burn jeera with incense sticks and let the aroma spread into your home and office. This calms the environment and protects you from any evil spirits evading your space.

5/5

What can married couples do?

Newly married couples or those who have been together for a long time can mix some jeera and salt in a little bag (only a little pinch) and carry that bag with them all the time. This doesn’t let any negative spirits or the evil eye consume space in their marriage, or either there will be a lot of fights and disagreements.
