6 qualities of highly respected people

There are some people in our society who are respected no matter what they do and they have a magnetic aura around them which attracts people. If you too want to have that persona, then follow these 6 thumb rules.

2/7

Calm

These folks do not ever lose it when they are angry. They always show themselves as calm and collected no matter what the situation is. They control their tone, face expressions and overall body language so that no one can detect how mad they are at you.

3/7

Good listeners

People give more respect to people who snap less and listen more. There is a reason why “man of few words” is a famous line.

4/7

Helpful

For others to respect you, you sometimes must go out of your way to help out people. Doing your own bit without creating drama and announcing it, just do it. You will slowly have a fan following.

5/7

Hard work

If you are good at your job, you will always be respected. If you run away from work, people will always curse you. You have to work hard and you shall be automatically respected.

6/7

Admitting mistakes

There are individuals who have a huge ego. Even if they know they are wrong, they will never admit it. Such people lose respect very fast. If you want to be respected, then you must admit the moment you make a mistake and also volunteer to correct it and look for solutions.

7/7

Be confident

Never look down upon yourself. Respected people always have a confident aura around them. Even if they have made a mistake, they just own it and work on it. They do not become apologetic for it. They are well aware that to err is human.
