Tips to be a successful man

Also known as the disruptor, Elon Musk is a force to reckon with. He is well known for working 100 hours a week, inspiring many people to work hard. However, there are a few tips and secrets that he believes in and shared at different conferences and gatherings, which can help you become successful in your life too. So scroll down and make a note if you want to be a game-changer too.

2/7

Read books

Reading books not only makes our language better, it gives us knowledge and information about a lot of things no one would teach you otherwise. Elon Musk once shared at a press conference that he used to read the encyclopedia as a kid. For the new generation, Elon advised that they should “read a lot of literature. Try to absorb as much information as possible, as well as establish a decent general knowledge base so you can get a basic sense of the knowledge landscape."

3/7

Networking is important

You cannot just sit at home and get things done. Networking is an important part of growing as a person besides helping yourself professionally. "Talk to people from many walks of life, as well as from various sectors, occupations, and skills. Learn everything you can,” he advised.

4/7

Contribute

Besides yourself, you must contribute to society too. In a podcast, Elon said that people must give back to society and not just take. He said: "try to have a positive net contribution to society. That's a goal worth pursuing."

5/7

Try to be useful

Elon shared that it is important to be useful to the world around you even if it is a challenge. "Do things that are useful to your fellow human beings, to the world." He further suggested that it's challenging to be useful – very difficult!”

6/7

Take risks

Playing safe all the time will stop you from growing. Elon shared that you must “take risks now, to do something bold, you won’t regret it. As you get older, risk-taking also impacts your family and children. You will have much less time on your hands”. He believes that it is best to take risks when you do not have any commitments or obligations.

7/7

Be prepared to fail if you plan to be successful

If you have an idea, a belief, work on it with the attitude that you will be successful, however, Elon believes that you must prepare yourself for failure as well. “If something is important enough you should try even if the probable outcome is failure, “ he said.
