Lessons by Premanand Maharaj

Premanand ji Maharaj, a saint from Vrindavan, has quickly influenced (for good) the minds and hearts of the Indian population. From little children who call him ‘pyaare Guru ji’ to adults who attend his meetings and listen to him intently, taking in every information and teaching he puts forward, he has influenced not just ordinary people, but also celebrities. From cricketers to Bollywood actors, and from politicians to the people who live close to his Ashram, everybody is enamoured with the way Maharaj ji speaks and enlightens people.
And here we mention 5 lessons Premanand ji Maharaj taught people.

Virat and Anushka visit Premanand ji Maharaj

Just after Virat Kohli announced his retirement from Test cricket, the couple visited Premanand Maharaj in Vrindavan. Maharaj ji asked Virat 'Ab prasann ho?' to which Virat said 'Ji abhi thik hu'. Premanand Maharaj then remarked that one should remain happy and satisfied and look at what is best for them.

3/7

The one who surrenders to God achieves happiness

One of the most famous and recurring lessons that Premanand Maharaj teaches people is of surrender to God. He often says that true and lasting happiness will only be found when we give ourselves fully to God, and he reminds people that most of our sorrow comes from us trying to control outcomes. Be it situations, people, future, or more, and so the best thing to do is to surrender, leave it to God, give your best, and see what good comes out of it.

4/7

Success is a mix of merit, good deeds, and God’s blessings

There are two kinds of people - One who fuels themselves and their achievements by believing it is pure hard work, and those who feel it was all God’s blessings and plans.
But Premanand Maharaj teaches people that success is a mix of merit, good deeds, and of course, God’s blessings. He did not do everything for your success, nor did you, and together, you and the higher powers made things possible.

5/7

Life changes, but it is important that you don’t lose hope

One of Premanand Maharaj’s most relatable lessons is about accepting the ups and downs of life. He often gives examples of others and himself about how life was fair and unfair both to people, and yet they go on, spreading love and happiness. Be it celebrities or the common man, he has always encouraged people to stay strong during hard times and humble during good times.

6/7

Keep your words and speech pure

We live in a very stressful world today, and losing control of our speech is easy. Be it in times of conflict, during road fights, when we feel dejected or betrayed, and similar situations. But Maharaj ji tells people that keeping your speech and your words pure is very important.
He explains how every word we speak carries energy, and that energy affects not just others but us too. And thus, one must speak words that are both truthful and kind.

7/7

Never let material success make you egotistical

Another extremely relevant lesson and teaching that Maharaj ji gave people is to never let material success make you egotistical. Maharaj ji often explains that ego is often the biggest downfall, even for the most successful people, and allowing wealth and fame to overfeed you with pride is the biggest reason for people's downfall.
Even when we look at Premanand Maharaj’s life, we see that although he has gained millions of followers now, he stays the same, humble man, dedicated to his ‘Hari’ and helping people all over the world.
