The power of chanting

Chanting is one of the oldest and most common ways to invoke Gods, their energies, and their blessings. It is common across religions, from a Christian’s rosary to a Vaishnavites Tulsi japa mala, all of it is used to keep track of the chantings. In Hinduism too, different mantras are chanted throughout the day, or through different worships and rituals to ask for blessings and boons. Be it the Vakratunda mantras or the Mahamirtyunjay, there is a certain time and phase to chant them. So, here we mention 6 mantras to chant during the different phases and problems of life.

2/9

Hanuman Chalisa for strength

The Hanuman Chalisa is one of the most famous hymns dedicated to Lord Hanuman and was written by Goswami Tulsidas in the Awadhi language centuries ago. It talks about Lord Hanuman’s life, his strength, virtues, qualities, characteristics, and much more, and exudes such powerful vibrations and energy that it makes the person feel strong and protected. And so, when you feel any sort of doubt in yourself, or have an internal fear that you cannot point out why, or just going through a tough time, try chanting the Hanuman Chalisa atleast twice daily. Do it once during the Brahma Muhurat and once during the evening aarti.

3/9

Kaal Bhairav ashtakam for protection

We live in a dark, negative, and competitive world today. Someone or the other is unhappy with another person’s progress, health, happiness, and more. And so sometimes, intentionally or unintentionally, an evil energy comes off from them which could very easily ruin another person’s day, or even life.
And so, if you feel like something has been weighing you down, or no matter how hard you try things are not working in your favour, try chanting the Kaal Bhairav Ashtak. Dedicated to Lord Kaal Bhairav, the Kotwal of Kashi, this mantra generates a fierce, protective energy around you which helps in staying safe from troubles.

Mahamrityunjay mantra during illness

If you or someone in the family have been keeping ill for quite some time, and no matter how many doctors you go to it just does not help, try chanting the Mahamrityunjay mantra everyday. It is one of the most powerful mantras of Lord Shiva, and it is believed that chanting the Mahamrityunjay mantra 108 times daily helps the devotee (or the chanting person) have a stronger mental state to fight the disease. Now, it is also important to note that this should not be done by abandoning the doctor’s treatment but rather should be an addition to it.

5/9

Panchmukhi Hanuman kavacham to remove evil energies

The Panchmukhi Hanuman is the form of Lord Hanuman who saved Lord Ram and Lakshman from Ahiravan, a sorcerer who ruled the Underworld and had trapped Lord Ram and Lakshman in his web of dark magic. And thus, when Lord Hanuman took on the Panchmukhi form to defeat Ahiravan, and when he defeated him, he came to be known as the destroyer of all evil and black magic.
So, if you feel that evil energies have surrounded you, and you are weighed down by negativity, chant the Panchmukhi Hanuman Kavacham daily. Not only will Lord Hanuman remove all youur worries, but his Panchmukhi forms will also eliminate any evil that comes your way.

6/9

Bajrang Baan to remove enemies and obstacles

Most people are divided on whether chanting the Bajrang Baan everyday is right or not. But, if you believe that Lord Hanuman is your saviour and presiding deity, and have no hesitation in chanting the Bajrang Baan everyday, then it might just be the perfect chant to remove any obstacles and enemies from your way.
It is said that by invoking the energy of Lord Hanuman through the Bajrang Baan, people can remove any obstacle from their way, and also give up on any enmity with others.

7/9

Kanakdhara stotram for wealth and abundance

Written by Adi Shankaracharya, the Kanakdhara stotram is dedicated to Maa Lakshmi, the Goddess of wealth, money, and abundance, and is about the pure, compassionate nature of the Goddess and how she blesses everyone to remove their financial blocks. It is said and believed that when people are facing financial struggles of any kind, be it debt, not getting opportunities, money being stuck, and the likes, this Stotram should be chanted everyday.

8/9

Gayatri mantra

The Gayatri Mantra is an ancient Vedic chant that helps calm the mind and increase spiritual growth. Repeating the mantra, 'Om Bhur Bhuva Swaha, Tat Savitur Varenyam, Bhargo Devasya Dhimahi, Dhiyo Yo Nah Pracodayat', creates a soothing effect on the mind. The vibrations of the mantra quiet the thoughts, reducing mental chatter and promoting relaxation. Regular recitation of the Gayatri Mantra helps in increased mental clarity, focus, and inner peace.

9/9

OM for peace and calm

The sacred sound "OM" is a powerful tool for calming the mind. Repeating "OM" creates a vibration that helps in relaxation, and also reduces the mental chatter that forever stays on in our heads. When we chant OM or play the sound of OM through the phone or speakers, it relaxes our system and creates an energy of love and protection all around.
