Darshana and Sreelekha to star in Rasheed Raha’s upcoming web film

Actresses Darshana Banik and Sreelekha Mitra are all set to star in a web film directed by Bangladeshi filmmaker Rashed Raha. Titled Kolkata Diaries, the film will see Darshana and Sreelekha portraying significant roles alongside Bangladeshi actor Shifat Amin.

The alleys of Kolkata have always fascinated Bangladeshi filmmakers, inspiring them to explore different stories. According to the director, Rashed, there are many untold stories of Kolkata, and this film aims to shed light on one such narrative. He also mentioned that people in Bangladesh haven't fully embraced the new Kolkata, and he has portrayed this aspect in the film as well.

The web film delves into themes of trust, betrayal, and friendship. Along with Darshana, Sreelekha, and Shifat, the film features actors Shantilal Mukherjee and Abhijit Guha in pivotal roles. The shooting took place in New Town and Rajarhat in Kolkata.
