What most athletes dream of, this 18-year-old teenager has done and made it his reality by breaking the world record of Olympic champion Usain Bolt. Gout Gout, the Australian teenager, ran 200 m faster than Usain Bolt did at the same age. Gout completed the race in 19.67 seconds, which also set an under-20 world record. So who is Gout Gout?
Gout Gout rose to fame when a video of his amazing running speed was posted on the internet. Gout hails from South Sudan and later moved to Queensland with his parents. His talent came into the limelight when he was 13 years old; it was his coach Di Sheppard who worked at his school who first observed his immense dedication and speed. By the time Gout Gout was 14 years old, he was already beating the times of Australian athletes who were two years older than him. While expressing his feelings about his recent record, he expressed that "I have the speed and my body to run times like that. So it definitely feels great."

In a recent interview with a digital daily, Gout Gout has said that he will not be taking part in the Commonwealth Games, which are being held in Glasgow in July. Instead, it is expected that he will be seen focusing on the World Under-20 Championships in Oregon in August.
