Speed painter Vilas Nayak announces the birth of his daughter with a painting of her

Bengaluru-based speed painter Vilas Nayak and his wife Vijetha have become parents again, this time to a baby girl. To celebrate the special moment, the artist did what he does best – created an artwork of the baby as a ‘first gift from dad to daughter.’
“Our son, Viyaan, was born five years ago and I had done his painting as well when he was born. But this one is super special because it’s a girl. The family is now
complete,” shares an ecstatic Vilas, who has now taken a break from his travels and shows to help take care of the kids. He adds, “As an artist, I get to paint different portraits, but it’s altogether a different feeling to paint your own child. I have poured all my love and emotions into this work. I hope my daughter cherishes the artwork when she grows up.”
