Punjab is home to some of the most significant historic gurudwaras and embodies the rich spiritual heritage and the difficult journey of Sikhism. These pilgrimage sites attract visitors to explore the stories of faith and sacrifice that helped in shaping the identity of Sikhs over the centuries. From majestic architectural wonders to serene hilltop sanctuaries, the historic gurudwaras of Punjab offer a deep connection to Sikh traditions and pivotal moments in history.

This temple is also surrounded by five other forts named Anandgarh, Lohgarh, Holgarh, Taragarh, and Fatehgarh to protect the Sikh community. An architectural marvel which is made of white marble and has gold domes, visitors can also see the important relics of the Gurus here too.

The Golden Temple has a very unique architecture with a square plan and four entrances and a circumambulation path around the pool. The four entrances of this temple depict that people from all walks of life and faiths are welcome here.
