Stone hits Shatabdi Express near Firozabad while RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on board

LUCKNOW: A window pane of the Shatabdi Express (12003) was damaged after a stone struck the train near Firozabad while RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat was traveling from Kanpur to Delhi.

The incident took place near the Firozabad outer area around 8 pm, where the stone hit Coach E1, in which Bhagwat was reportedly traveling.

The impact shattered a coach window and caused concern among passengers on board. However, railway officials confirmed that no injuries were reported. Mohan Bhagwat and all other passengers remained safe.

Following the incident, railway authorities conducted an inspection of the affected coach and reviewed the situation before allowing the train to continue its journey. Officials from the Government Railway Police (GRP) and other railway departments reached the spot and initiated an investigation.

At present, there is no official confirmation regarding how the stone came to hit the train or who may have been responsible. Authorities are examining the circumstances surrounding the incident and gathering evidence as part of the inquiry.

After the necessary checks were completed, the Shatabdi Express resumed its journey towards Delhi and reached the national capital at 10.13 pm.

Railway officials stated that further details would emerge after the investigation is concluded and the findings are formally reported.
