NEW DELHI: The latest edition of Samsung’s budget smartphones-- Galaxy J1 (2016) and Galaxy J1 mini—are now official in Russia and Philippines. There is no word as to when the smartphones will be launched in India.

Samsung Galaxy J1

(2016) offers a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED WVGA display with a 5MP rear camera with LED Flash and a 2MP front camera. The smartphone runs a 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal memory with support for up to 128GB microSD cards. It is dual sim device with support for 4G. On the connectivity front, it offers Wi-Fi, BLuetooth among other regular connectivity features. It is backed by a 2,050mAh battery.

On the other hand, the smaller Galaxy J1 Mini sports a 4-inch TFT display with 750MB RAM and is backed by a 1,500mAh battery. While other specs are similar, the J1 Mini doesn’t include 4G support.
