NEW DELHI:
Samsung had earlier listed the 2016 versions of its Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7
smartphones on its Chinese website. However, there were no word on the price and availability of the two handsets so far.
Now, the official
Samsung Korea website has
announced the prices of both the samrtphones. The new Galaxy J5 is priced at KRW 290,000 and the J7 costs KRW 363,000. This translates to approximately Rs 16,889 and Rs 21,138 respectively, excluding local taxes. Samsung is yet to make both the smartphones official in India.
The all-new Galaxy J7 (2016) has a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD resolution (1080x1920p) and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core processor running at 1.6GHz, backed by 3GB RAM. It comes with 16GB internal storage and supports microSD cards of up to 128GB capacities.
Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) has a smaller 5.2-inch Super AMOLED screen with HD (720x1280p) resolution. It packs the 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor under the hood, with 2GB RAM. Connectivity options include 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, and microUSB 2.0, while battery capacity is rated at 3,100mAh.
Like its bigger sibling, the
smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system, has 16GB internal storage, supports microSD cards of up to 128GB capacity, and has the same rear & front camera setup.
