today launched its ATH-SR5 high-resolution
headphones
in India. Priced at Rs 12,990, the headphones come with 45 mm high-resolution audio drivers (5–40,000 Hz frequency range) and a detachable 1.2 metre cable. The cable also has an inline microphone and controls that make it easy to answer calls and handle music playback on compatible smartphones.
The headphones feature a flexible swivel design along with soft memory foam earpads and headband. They are available in White, Black and Brown colour options.
Other features of the headphones include a maximum input power of 1,500 mW, sensitivity of 100 dB/mW and 35 ohms impedance.
In related news, Bose recently launched its QuietComfort 35 headphones in India. At a price of Rs 29,363, the Bose QuietComfort 35 are claimed to have the best noise cancellation. They come with built-in microphones and promise up to 20 hours of battery life.
Bose also introduced its all-new SoundSport and SoundSport Pulse headphones recently. These are especially meant for wireless workout. SoundSport Pulse wireless headphones come with a built-in heart rate monitor and are priced at Rs 17,663, whereas the SoundSport cost Rs 13,275.
For those in budget offerings, Skullcandy recently introduced its Grind Wireless on ear Bluetooth headphones at Rs 6,499. The Grind Wireless earphones come with premium plush on-ear cushions and a lightweight, durable metal headband that maximizes comfort. They claim to deliver upto 12 hours of battery backup. The right ear cup of the earphones consists of a microphone, as well as call, track and volume control buttons.
The headphones also incorporate an integrated amplifier which can provide a higher power rating and less distortion, with high-end drivers enabling a greater dynamic range.
