Ekadashi is an extremely significant day. This is one of the most auspicious days to worship Lord Shri Hari Vishnu. In order to receive benefits, people offer prayers to Lord Vishnu. Padmini Ekadashi is observed on the 11th day of shukla paksha in the month of Jyeshtha. On May 27, 2026, the Padmini Ekadashi fast will be observed.

Padmini Ekadashi holds a great religious significance among Hindus. The day is purely dedicated to worship Lord Vishnu. On this auspicious day, devotees offer their sincere prayers to Lord Vishnu. In the year 2026, Padmini Ekadashi falls in the month of Adhik Jyeshtha Maas so it has its own importance in Hinduism. People observe fast with devotion and worship Lord Vishnu by following various puja rituals and spiritual activities. The combination of Ekadashi during Purushottam Maas makes it more special and worshipping both the Lord during this time is highly rewarding. This year, Padmini Ekadashi has special importance as it is falling during Shravana month, the month dedicated to worship Lord Shiva and this month is also dedicated to Lord Vishnu and it is known as Purushottam Mas or Adhik Mas. Fasting on this Ekadashi will bring spiritual upliftment, health, wealth, prosperity and happiness in the life of devotees. This fast is beneficial for the couples who are childless and wish for having a healthy child.
1. Wake up early in the morning and take a sacred bath.
2. Do not use any type of body cleanser or soap as it is prohibited to take bath with soap on the day of Ekadashi.
3. Take a wooden plank and place an idol of Lord Vishnu along with Shri Yantra (Shri Yantra is the symbol of Goddess Laxmi).
4. Give them bath with panchamrit and decorate them with flowers, tulsi mala and yellow clothes.
5. Light a diya with desi ghee, incense sticks, offer sweets, different fruits, Tulsi Patra, Panchamrit.
6. Chant Maha mantra - "Om Namo Bhagvate Vasudevaye" and recite Vishnu Sahastranaam.
7. Doing charity on this day is considered rewarding.
8. Worship Tulsi plant in the evening by lighting an earthen lamp near the plant.
9. Do not pluck Tulsi patra (basil leaves) on the day of Ekadashi. Devotees can pluck it a day before Ekadashi and keep it in a water to keep it fresh.
