Mokshada Ekadashi 2024: Date, Parana Time, Puja Rituals and Significance
Mokshada Ekadashi is one of the most auspicious day when devotees worship Lord Vishnu with immense religious and spiritual significance. On this sacred day, many devotees observe strict fast and offer prayers to Shri Hari and visit temple to seek blessings. Mokshada Ekadashi is going to be observed on Ekadashi Tithi of Shukla Paksha in the month of Margashirsha. This year, Mokshada Ekadashi is being celebrated today i.e., on December 11, 2024.

Mokshada Ekadashi 2024: Significance
There are 24 Ekadashi observances in the year and Ekadashi falls twice a month during Shukla Paksha and Krishna Paksha and this time Mokshada Ekadashi is going to fall in the month of Margashirsha during Shukla Paksha. As the name suggests, Mokshada Ekadashi that gives salvation to the people from the cycle of birth and death.
It is beneficial to worship Lord Vishnu on Ekadashi. Devotees who worship Bhagwan Vishnu, are bestowed with serenity, prosperity and all the worldly pleasures. He grants his followers all the desired wishes they could ever want.
Since this is Mokshada Ekadashi, as we all know, the primary goal of this Ekadashi is to achieve salvation. The person who fasts on Mokshada Ekadashi is ultimately saved and cleansed of all misdeeds from the past. They are thought to have been given a space in Lord Vishnu's dwelling (Vaikuntha Dham).
Mokshada Ekadashi 2024: Puja Rituals
1. Wake up early in the morning and take a holy bath.
2. Clean the house and puja room.
3. Take an idol of Lord Vishnu, Lord Krishna and Laddoo Gopal Ji and give them bath.
4. If you do not have an idol then take a photo of Lord Vishnu and place on a wooden plank along with Shree Yantra.
4. Light a diya with desi ghee in front of the idol and offer Tulsi Patra.
5. Offer garland and offer different sweets, fruits and Paan along with laung, elaichi and supari.
6. Chant various mantras associated with Lord Vishnu to invoke the idol.
7. Recite Vishnu Sahasranama and Shree Hari Stotram.
8. In the evening again offer prayers to Lord Vishnu and recite story.
9. Chant Lord Vishnu aarti and seek blessings.
10. You can break your fast with fruits and take healthy drinks such as fresh juice, and nariyal pani.
11. Those who are unable to observe strict fast, they can eat food recommended for fast and those who can observe, they are advised to break their fast next day on Dwadashi Tithi during Parana Time.
