Competing in the women's 60kg category, Jaismine showcased her prowess and determination, sealing the win through a Referee Stops Contest (RSC) verdict in less than five minutes.

NEW DELHI: Jaismine Lamboria, the Commonwealth Games bronze medalist, made a remarkable debut at the Asian Games by clinching victory in her first bout against Hadeel Ghazwan Ashour of Saudi Arabia.
Competing in the women's 60kg category, Jaismine showcased her prowess and determination, sealing the win through a Referee Stops Contest (RSC) verdict in less than five minutes.
Having received a first-round bye, the Indian boxer displayed her aggressive fighting style, delivering a barrage of jabs and hooks to her opponent. The referee issued two standing counts to the Saudi Arabian boxer before ultimately stopping the contest during the second round.

With this victory, Jaismine stands just one win away from securing an Olympic quota and ensuring herself a medal in this prestigious continental event. In the quarterfinal, Jaismine is set to face North Korean boxer Won Ungyong.
In the women's boxing events, semifinalists in the 50kg, 54kg, 57kg, and 60kg categories, as well as finalists in the 66kg and 75kg, will earn qualification for the Paris Olympics.
