Sarang, Vaishnavi to take part in All India badminton tournament

NAGPUR: Sarang Lakhanee, Vaishnavi Bhale and three other city players will participate in the Coal India All India Senior Ranking Badminton tournament which will be played at the KBA Stadium in Bangalore from April 14 to 18.
Besides Sarang and Vaishnavi, Bhakti Dahasahasra, Vishal Anand and Mugdha Agrey will also compete in the seasons second senior ranking tournament after Bareilly.
The draw for the five-day tournament will be released in a day or two. While Sarang, Vaishnavi and Bhakti regularly participate in the senior national-level tournaments, Mugdha and Vishal will make their debut in the forthcoming tourney.
Sarang had lost to second seed Abhimanyu Singh in the second round at the last All India tournament. The trainee of Pullela Gopichand Academy will surely want to make a big mark at Bangalore after the long injury lay-off. It is also a good test for Vaishnavi and Bhakti as several top national players will be in action next week.
