India vs Hong Kong, Asia Cup 2022 Highlights: India beat Hong Kong by 40 runs to enter Super Fours

Defending champions India defeated Hong Kong by 40 runs in their Asia Cup match on Wednesday, registering their second successive win in the continental tournament. Sent into bat at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, India scored 192 for two with Virat Kohli (59 not out) and Suryakumar Yadav (68 not out) being the team's main contributors. In reply, Hong Kong were stopped at 152 for five in their allotted 20 overs as India entered the Super 4 stage of the tournament.

India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja insisted that the tournament favourites would not take anything for granted when they face minnows Hong Kong in the Asia Cup tonight. Hong Kong, with a population of 7.5 million, will face powerhouse India, a cricket-mad country of 1.4 billion people, in a T20 international for the first time.

Legendary Indian cricketer Kapil Dev has said that star batter Virat Kohli looked good on his comeback against Pakistan in the team's Asia Cup 2022 campaign opener and it will not take him too long to be back in form. India won their opening match against Pakistan in Dubai on Sunday by five wickets and chased down the target of 148 in a thrilling last-over finish. Kohli was the joint top-scorer for India, along with all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, as the former India captain played a solid knock of 35 of 34 balls.
