Coming into bat, Bangladesh needed a solid start but it was far from that. After a couple of quiet overs, Kagiso Rabada came in and struck twice in one over to put the hosts in a spot of bother.  Earlier in the session, the Bangladeshi bowlers found it tough to take the last couple of wickets and ended up conceding a lot of runs that could prove to be defining in this game. However, Mahmudul Hasan Joy and Najmul Hossain Shanto made sure that they rode the storm and remained unfazed till the end of the session. The hosts are still trailing by 183 runs and they need a few partnerships to get back in the game, while South Africa will be hoping to pick more wickets in the final session and get closer to victory. With only two wickets in hand, they managed to make it really hard for the hosts and kept on piling on the runs. Kyle Verreynne and Dane Piedt added over 50 runs for the 9th wicket, and with the former's fantastic ton, the Proteas managed to extend their lead by over 200 runs.
