DC vs MI Highlights, IPL 2026: Impact substitute Sameer Rizvi continued his red-hot form with a sensational knock as Delhi Capitals outclassed Mumbai Indians by six wickets in their first home game of IPL 2026 on Saturday.
Chasing 163, the 22-year-old Rizvi starred with a breathtaking 90 off 51 balls, smashing seven fours and seven sixes to anchor the chase. Despite an early top-order wobble for the second successive game, Delhi recovered strongly through a 66-run partnership for the third wicket between Rizvi and Pathum Nissanka, who contributed a solid 44 off 30 balls.
After Nissanka’s dismissal, Rizvi shifted gears effortlessly, taking charge of the innings. He stitched a match-winning *78-run stand with David Miller (17)**, guiding Delhi Capitals home with 11 balls to spare.
Rizvi initially played a supporting role but unleashed his full range after settling in. He hammered Corbin Bosch for 20 runs in a single over and followed it up with consecutive sixes off Mayank Markande, completely turning the game in DC’s favour. Though he fell short of a well-deserved century, his innings earned a standing ovation from the crowd.
