Glenn Phillips puts in an acrobatic dive to his left from gully, but it stays out of his reach and races away.

What an absolute ripper from Nathan Smith. Ben Stokes shakes his head and walks back for a duck. Gus Atkinson is the next batter.

Nathan Smith to Ben Stokes, OUT! CLEANED HIM UP! Another corker of a ball from Nathan Smith and he is over the moon. Stokes helplessly watches his undoing. From around the stump, Smith lands it somewhere around the off stump line and gets it to nip back in sharply. Stokes is squared up slightly while blocking it off the back foot. But he plays the wrong line and is beaten on the outside edge before the ball rattles the stumps behind. 126/2 becomes 127/6 for England, as they lead by 154 runs.

A superb passage of play for New Zealand as they reduce England from 126/2 to 127/5. Skipper Ben Stokes comes out to the middle with his team in a spot of bother.

Nathan Smith to Joe Root, OUT! LBW! An absolute peach of a delivery from Smith and what a fantastic passage of play this has been for the Kiwis. Pitched slightly fuller and it jags back in very sharply, hurrying Root up. He is rooted in the crease and looks to block, but the ball sneaks past the inside edge and hits on the flap of the front pad. A big, confident appeal for LBW and up goes the finger instantly. Joe Root doesn't look that confident, but he has a chat with Jamie Smith and then opts for a review. Looks to have gone too close to the inside edge. UltraEdge shows a flat line. Ball Tracking projects the ball to clip the top of middle and leg stumps, on umpire's call. So the on-field decision is upheld. England do not lose the review but they lose a vital wicket in the form of Root. The hosts are 127/5, leading by 154 runs.

Two wickets in two overs and New Zealand are right back in the game. Jamie Smith walks out to bat now.
