Alison starts by saying that it is very hot out there and England playing their first day game, will need to get used to the heat. Mentions that the temperature is high at 34 degrees but feels hotter than that. Says the straight boundary is 73 meters while there is just a 4-meter difference on the square boundaries. Pommie Mbangwa adds that there will be some excitement to see the green tint on the surface which is holding the surface together. Heather Knight, the skipper of England Women is in for a chat. She mentioned that they would have chosen to bat on this wicket as well. Since it’s the third game being played on it, she believes batting first is the better option. She announced two changes to the team: Alice Capsey is out, with Sophia Dunkley coming in, and Lauren Bell replaces Linsey Smith. Knight emphasized that the primary goal is to win, and if the opportunity arises to improve their net run rate, they would focus on that as well.
Kathryn Bryce, the skipper of Scotland says they will look to try and put some pressure first up and then see how they can go ahead. Mentions that Megan McColl comes into the side. Talks about how these conditions have been different to what they have had before and it's hard and tough to adapt. Concludes that it is exciting to be playing against one of the top teams in the world and with this being the last game, they will look to go well.
