New Delhi: The ICC Men's Champions Trophy is making a comeback in 2025 after a gap of eight years. The winners of this eight-team tournament will receive US$2.24 million (Rs 19.45 crore) along with the trophy on March 9.
The runners-up will get $1.12 million (Rs 9.72 crore), and the losing semi-finalists will receive $560,000 (Rs 4.86 crore) each. The total prize pool stands at $6.9 million (Rs 59 crore), marking a 53% increase from the 2017 tournament.
Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW!Teams will earn more than $34,000 (Rs 29 lakh) for each group match victory. Teams finishing fifth or sixth will receive $350,000 (Rs 3.04 crore) each, while those in seventh and eighth positions will get $140,000 (Rs 1.21 crore).
Each participating team is guaranteed $125,000 (Rs 1.08 crore) for competing in the
2025 Champions Trophy. Pakistan will host their first global cricket tournament since 1996, with matches scheduled in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi.
The tournament format features eight teams split into two groups of four. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals.
The Men's
Champions Trophy will be held every four years, featuring the world's top eight ODI teams. A Women's Champions Trophy in T20 format will debut in 2027.
