About Bristol County Ground Cricket Ground
With a spectator capacity of 11,000, the County Ground in Bristol is hosting three World Cup matches in the 2019 edition. Previously, the ground has hosted three World Cup fixtures, including one in the 1983 edition. The other two were during the 1999 World Cup. In 2017, the County Ground was a major part of the ICC Women’s World Cup, when it hosted a total of eight matches. Initially known as the Ashley Down Ground, it was bought in 1889 by WG Grace.
