India’s training session under lights on Tuesday drew attention as opener Shafali Verma joined the camp, having been called up as a replacement for Pratika Rawal, who was ruled out due to knee and ankle injuries sustained in the match against Bangladesh.

She also joined captain Harmanpreet Kaur, vice-captain Smriti Mandhana, Sneh Rana, and Harleen Deol in net practice and catching drills.
In a boost to India’s preparation, Richa Ghosh, who missed the last match due to a finger injury, returned to training, keeping wickets and batting in the nets without any visible discomfort.
With a spot in the final at stake, India will look to deliver a complete performance against a dominant Australian side that has yet to lose a match this World Cup.
