08:55 PM (IST)

With a challenging score in front of them, the Indian opening duo of Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma strides out to bat. This is after Bangladesh make their way out to the middle after a mini-huddle. They opt for spin to open their bowling. Shakib Al Hasan it is, with the ball. He did the same even in the last game. The southpaw is on strike. Let's go...

08:55 PM (IST)

Hello, folks! Sanjay Bangar, the Indian batting coach, is caught up for a chat, just before the chase gets underway. He reckons that it is a challenging target. Concedes that their aim is to get off to a good start and make maximum use of the Powerplay. Reckons that they have a long-enough batting line up to gun the total down.

08:52 PM (IST)

Once again, the Indian spinners were clinical. A combined figures of 8-0-38-4 between Washington Sundar and Yuzvendra Chahal drives home the point. Although Shardul Thakur and Vijay Shankar were good in patches, they didn't have answers to the onslaught at the end. The chase should be an interesting one, given the track doesn't seem too difficult to bat. Join us for it, that gets underway soon...

08:47 PM (IST)

56 runs off the last 5 overs! Even though they kept losing wickets, these figures should help Bangladesh a great deal. Riding on Sabbir Rahman's sensible innings coupled with some useful cameos from Mahmudullah and Mehidy Hasan, they have succeeded in posting a total that, if not a winning one, is at least a challenging one. Interestingly, at one stage it looked as if they wouldn't even last their quota of overs.

08:45 PM (IST)

Shardul Thakur concedes 18 in the last over as Bangladesh post 166/8 against India

08:45 PM (IST)

19.6 : Bangladesh:166/8

19.6: S Thakur to M Hasan, On a length on off, pushed with soft hands towards wide long off. Gets a couple as a result. 18 runs off the last over. Momentum? Bangladesh. 167 IS INDIA'S TARGET TO WIN THE FINAL!

08:44 PM (IST)

19.5 : Bangladesh:164/8

19.5: S Thakur to M Hasan, This is driven through covers for a couple. Good batting.

08:43 PM (IST)

19.4 : Bangladesh:162/8

19.4: S Thakur to M Hasan, FOUR! Hasan is a handy batter and he is showing his skills here. Sees this delivered full outside off, he slices it through the gap between short third man and backward point for a boundary.

08:43 PM (IST)

19.3 : Bangladesh:158/8

19.3: S Thakur to M Hasan, Full outside off, squeezed out towards point.

08:43 PM (IST)

19.2 : Bangladesh:158/8

19.2: S Thakur to M Hasan, SIX! Ho, ho, ho! Mehidy Hasan is out to have fun there. But it looked to be a no ball for being over waist height. He comes down the track and smites it over deep mid-wicket for a biggie. He is seen asking the umpire for a no ball, which isn't given. It's the correct decision as he had come down the track.

08:42 PM (IST)

19.1 : Bangladesh:152/8

19.1: S Thakur to M Hasan, FOUR! A knuckle ball on a length outside off, Hasan moves across and ramps it over short fine leg for a boundary. Good start for Bangladesh to the last over.

08:39 PM (IST)

Mustafizur Rahman walks in at no. 10 for Bangladesh.

08:38 PM (IST)

OUT! Jaydev Unadkat cleans up Rubel Hossain for 0. Bangladesh 148/8 in 18.3 overs

08:38 PM (IST)

18.4 : Bangladesh:148/8

18.3: J Unadkat to R Hossain, OUT! Timber! Clever from Unadkat. He delivers a length ball but rolls his fingers over it before letting it go. Hossain fails to read the change in pace and looks to play the pull over mid-wicket. Is through with the shot much before the ball arrives only to see his stumps shattered. An angry expression from Jaydev shows his frustration.

08:37 PM (IST)

18.3 : Bangladesh:148/7

18.3: J Unadkat to R Hossain, WIDE! Poor from Jaydev. He bangs it short and the ball goes well over Hossain, who misses his attempted pull.

08:37 PM (IST)

Rubel Hossain is the next batter.

08:36 PM (IST)

OUT! Jaydev Unadkat cleans up Sabbir Rahman for 77 (50 balls). Bangladesh 147/7 in 18.2 overs

08:36 PM (IST)

18.2 : Bangladesh:147/7

18.2: J Unadkat to S Rahman, OUT! Why go for DRS when you can clean him up! Full and straight in line of the stumps, Rahman goes for the agricultural slog. Misses and finds his stumps disturbed. He departs after a decent knock.

08:36 PM (IST)

18.1 : Bangladesh:147/6

18.1: J Unadkat to S Rahman, INSIDE EDGE SAVES RAHMAN! He looks to play the paddle and seems to have missed it on the first look. The ball rolls through backward square leg for a brace. Leg byes are signaled by the umpire. Now, India opt for the review for LBW. On the replays it is seen that he got a massive inside edge there. Hence, the leg byes are cancelled and the runs are awarded to the batter. Meanwhile, India now lose their sole review.

08:34 PM (IST)

Another LBW review is taken by India. Again Rahman is the man in question. Impact and height can come into play...

08:33 PM (IST)

Jaydev Unadkat to bowl the penultimate over of the innings.

08:32 PM (IST)

17.6 : Bangladesh:145/6

17.6: S Thakur to S Rahman, Short ball, pulled away through square leg for one. 11 runs off this one.

08:32 PM (IST)

17.5 : Bangladesh:144/6

17.5: S Thakur to S Rahman, FOUR! This is good batting. Now Rahman moves across and paddles it over short fine leg for a boundary.

08:31 PM (IST)

17.4 : Bangladesh:140/6

17.4: S Thakur to S Rahman, FOUR! Deft. Rahman guides this length ball past short third man for a boundary.

08:31 PM (IST)

17.3 : Bangladesh:136/6

17.3: S Thakur to S Rahman, NOT OUT! Never looked out. Full ball on the pads, Sabbir misses his flick and gets hit on the pads. The ball goes to the off side. Unaware, he comes down in search of a run only to retreat. After putting in an appeal, Shardul runs to the ball, takes it and has a underarm shy at the stumps at the batter's end but misses. Would have been curtains if he'd hit. Now the DRS is taken by India for LBW. It is seen that the ball first hit the front pad and then went onto the back one. Hawk Eye returns umpire's call. India's review is saved.

08:29 PM (IST)

Almost unnoticedly, a review for LBW against Rahman is taken upstairs by India. Doesn't look to be close in the first view.

08:28 PM (IST)

17.2 : Bangladesh:136/6

17.2: S Thakur to M Hasan, This is pushed towards point and a single is attempted. Dhawan the fielder has a shy at the keeper's end but misses. The ball rolls all the way towards deep mid-wicket. Only a run is taken as a result.
