IND vs ENG: 'United and in the batters' face' - Murali Kartik hails fired-up Indian bowlers for dominating England
India may trail the five-match series 1-2 against England after a tense 22-run loss at Lord’s, but former India spinner Murali Kartik is mighty impressed with the fiery passion and discipline of the Indian bowling unit. Speaking on Cricbuzz, Kartik applauded the way the bowlers stood up under pressure, especially in challenging overseas conditions.

"One thing that stood out for me is how this young Indian side — under a new captain, in a series people are calling a transition phase — showed such intensity," Kartik said. "What happened at Lord’s, with just two overs left and only one bowled, there was so much heat and emotion. But the Indian players did not let that fire die. Everyone was united, fired up, in the face of the batters."
He added, "You could feel that heat. It looked like all of them together were ready to tear the opposition apart. The passion they brought, especially at a place like Lord’s, stood out. It didn’t matter what people thought — what mattered was that they were all in."
Kartik further praised the Indian bowlers’ ability to extract errors from the English batters in home conditions. "The number of false shots they’ve induced is remarkable. These are England batters who train here and know the conditions. But India’s bowlers played with passion, with concentration, and really forced mistakes. That was impressive."
India’s pace trio has led the charge so far: Mohammed Siraj tops the series tally with 13 wickets, followed by Jasprit Bumrah (12) and Akash Deep (11).
With the fourth Test beginning July 23 in Manchester, India will hope their fired-up attack can help level the series.

This report illustrates the bane of Indian Cricket . As BCCI grew richer and seized control of ICC , it sent into forced retirement Commentators who called the Spade a Spade. India's TV- viewing budding Cricketers were the worst-hit when BCCI removed Ian Chappel, Michael Holding and Geoff Boycott from the panel of Commentators for India games. To listen to them was to learn the Art of Cricket. I remember Ian Chappel on Australia's Channel 9 replaying in Slow-mo a five - second incident which no one must have noticed : Mark Waugh , one of the finest catchers in the game, was on Bat-pad catching position at Silly-point. As a batsman played a defensive shot on the front foot, Mark Waugh ran to catch the Ball which had gone up though only off the Pad, He was pressurising the Batter. But at the last second Mark Waugh withdrew his hand and let the Ball hit the Pitch. After the next delivery had been bowled Ian Chappel explained the reason for what Mark Waugh had done. Waugh saw the Ball spinning backwards . Hoping that the Ball would roll back onto the Stumps , Waugh let the Ball fall to the ground. Siraj got our that way and India lost the third Test but neither the WK Jim Smith nor the Bowler SAW THE POSSIBILITY OF IT HAPPENING. Commentators were busy talking of India winning and they shouted in shock AFTER Smith jumped and the close-in Fielders ran to the Bowler. Michael Holding was Windies' Bumrah in his days - Silent but Gentle Assassin who , like gentleman Bumrah, never made the dismissed Batsman feel small. Holding was asked once how he could bowl at plus 90 mph all through his long career. Holding said he was in a Team of four fierce Fast Bowlers and the number of Overs bowlers (like Bumrah, Starc ) bowled in one Test, he bowled in a full series. Without naming it, Holding had taught India's budding Fast bowlers the need to DISTRIBUTE WORKLOAD.Murali Karthick has praised India's pace bowlers for controlled bowling in the third Test.England scored only 192 runs in the second Innings. Even without injured Pant 193 was easily achievable for this India team. England's 192 included 32 EXTRAS. (16.67%) which WAS SIN in a low-scoring match on a rapidly dying Pitch. OUT OF THE 32 EXTRAS , 25 WERE BYES. Losing margin was 22 Runs.Every Bye is a Ball that had been bowled WITH NO CONTROL ON LINE. Jurel kept Wickets and he is perhaps the best Keeper in India today. Siraj, mainly and Deep, bowled with no effort to control Line. If Siraj had had a word with a batter or if he had been hit for two, he considered it as insult and the next Ball went wide and fast and evaded every fielderKarthick has praised India's Bowlers.Read allPost comment
