NEW DELHI: India and England are all set to face off in a five-match Test series starting June 20, 2025, marking the beginning of the 2025–27 ICC World Test Championship cycle for both teams. The series will kick off at Headingley, Leeds, and continue across iconic English venues including Edgbaston, Lord’s, Old Trafford, and Kennington Oval.
India will be led by newly appointed Test captain Shubman Gill, with Rishabh Pant named vice-captain. This series will mark Gill’s first full overseas assignment as Test captain following Rohit Sharma’s retirement from the format. Virat Kohli will also be absent, having recently called time on his Test career.
