India captain Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and elected to bowl against Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 final on Sunday.
In a special arrangement following a PCB request to the Asian Cricket Council for a neutral presenter, Ravi Shastri and Waqar Younis conducted the toss interviews separately with the two captains.
India suffered a setback as all-rounder Hardik Pandya was ruled out of the final due to a niggle. Rinku Singh and Shivam Dube were included in the XI, replacing Harshit Rana and Arshdeep Singh.
Pakistan, meanwhile, named an unchanged side from their previous match.
Teams:
India: Abhishek Sharma, Shubman Gill, Suryakumar Yadav (c), Tilak Varma, Sanju Samson (wk), Shivam Dube, Rinku Singh, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Varun Chakravarthy.
Pakistan: Fakhar Zaman, Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, Salman Ali Agha (c), Hussain Talat, Mohammad Haris (wk), Mohammad Nawaz, Faheem Ashraf, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, Abrar Ahmed.
