Player of the Day, Kolkata vs Chennai: Imran Tahir

NEW DELHI: Imran Tahir (4/27) wreaked havoc with the ball helping Chennai register a comfortable five-wicket win against Kolkata at the Eden Gardens on Sunday. Tahir produced a magical spell as the hosts surrendered in front of the South African spinner.


Tahir first removed Nitish Rana (21) and Robin Uthappa (0) in the 10th over and then claimed wickets of well-set Chris Lynn (82) and dangerous Andre Russell (10) in the 15th over, to demolish hosts batting order.

Kolkata were restricted to 161 for eight as Chennai chased down the target with two balls to spare.
