Chennai Super Kings added their available six slots during the 2021
IPL player auction to complete their full 25-member squad for the upcoming season of the
Indian Premier League.
The
MS Dhoni led side picked up Test specialist
Cheteshwar Pujara for base price Rs 50 lakh while spending a whopping Rs 9.25 crore on Krishnappa Gowtham, making the spinner the most expensive uncapped Indian buy ever.
They also bought Moeen Ali for Rs 7 crore.
Along with the three, CSK brought in Harishankar Reddy, Bhagath Verma and Hari Nishanth for their base price of Rs 20 lakh each.
CSK spent a total of Rs 17.35 crore for the six players.
