IPL 2017 list of players retained and released by Gujarat Lions

Gujarat Lions, an Indian Premier League franchise owned by Intex Technologies, is a temporary cricket team for IPL 2016 and 2017 seasons.
The GL was formed to serve as one of the replacements for Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals, who were both suspended for two seasons due to alleged illegal betting by their respective owners.
Intex Technologies purchased the GL for Rs 10 crore in a reverse bid process.The official slogan of team is "Jalsa Jeet Ka". The team had played five of their home matches at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium Rajkot and two of their home matches at Green Park Stadium Kanpur in the IPL 2016.
Gujarat Lions have the purse balance of Rs 14.35 crore for the upcoming IPL Season 10 player auction. Their current squad strength is 16.
