managed a respectable 190/4, but it was short by 28 runs of the massive 219-run target set by the home team. Andre Russell, after scoring 48 off 17 balls, shone with the ball too as he took two important wickets early in the Punjab chase.

* A spectacle of power-hitting was on display at the Eden Gardens as hosts Kolkata Knight Riders set a massive 219-run target for Kings XI Punjab. First, it was Nitish Rana who scored a quick-fire 63 off just 34 balls. Later, Andre Russell, who got a life when he was on 3, muscled his way to 48 off just 17 balls with the help of seven sixes. And during this time, Robin Uthappa was the constant partner on the other end, scoring an unbeaten 67 off 50 balls.

Overs 20: KKR 218/4Just eight runs came off Andrew Tye's final over, but it was not enough to stop the hosts from posting a massive total at the Eden Gardens.

Narine was in his zone and scored 24 off just 9 balls, which included three sixes and a four, but he top-edged this time and wicket-keeper KL Rahul did not make any mistake.
