NEW DELHI: Five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) have entered the Indian Premier League (IPL) Auction 2026 on Tuesday with few worries, as they already have a settled and strong squad in place.
With just Rs 2.75 crore remaining in their purse, the lowest budget among the 10 franchises, MI still had five slots to fill, including one overseas spot.
In what could very well be termed a steal, MI got South African wicketkeeper-batter Quinton de Kock at the base price of just Rs 1 crore.
Thereafter, MI got four uncapped Indian players: Danish Malewar, Mohammad Izhar, Atharva Ankolekar, and Mayank Rawat all of them at base price of Rs 30 lakh.
