Prayas Ray Barman
has become the youngest player to make
IPL debut after
Royal Challengers Bangalore
included him for their match against
Sunrisers Hyderabad
on Sunday.
IPL Schedule | IPL Points TableBarman made his debut in the cash rich league at the age of 16 years and 157 days, replacing Afghanistan's spinner Mujeeb-ur-Rahman. Mujeeb's debut came at 17 years and 11 days for Kings XI Punjab in IPL 2018.
The leg-spinner, who was bought for a whopping Rs 1.5 crore at the IPL auction in Jaipur last year, replaced Navdeep Saini for RCB. Barman was also Bengal's top wicket-taker in his debut season in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Having made his debut 17 years and 177 days, Sarfaraz Khan features third on the list ahead of Pradeep Sangwan (17 years and 179 days) and Washington Sundar (17 years and 199 days).
