NEW DELHI: Kolkata Knight Riders batter Rinku Singh credited MS Dhoni's advice for helping him stay composed in pressure situations, as he reflected on his evolving role as a finisher in the Indian Premier League.
Speaking during a chat with JioHotstar, Rinku shared that regular conversations with the legendary former India captain have shaped his approach.

Who's that IPL player? The 27-year-old, who typically bats at No. 5 or 6 for KKR and Uttar Pradesh, emphasised the importance of fitness and mental strength in maintaining consistency across a long season. "With 14 matches in the IPL, it's my responsibility to maintain my body and recover well," he added.
Rinku, known for his late-over heroics, also spoke about learning from senior teammates like Andre Russell. "I observe Russell closely, especially how he bats in the final overs and uses his body to generate power. I keep picking up things from him," he said.
On the evolving nature of T20 cricket, Rinku backed the possibility of a team breaching the 300-run barrier in the IPL. "Yes, we can do it. IPL has reached a stage where even 300 is possible. Last year, Punjab chased 262. All teams are strong this season — anyone can get to 300," he said.
