Rishabh Pant didn't take kindly to social media rumour of his future at the Lucknow Super Giants. The rumour, without mentioning a source, said Pant was was most likely to be released by the franchise. It added that the team felt Rs 27 crore was "too much" for him, referring to the price paid by the team during the auction.
In response Pant said, "I understand fake News gives more traction To content but let’s not built everything around it . Little sense and credible news will help more rather making fake news with agenda . Thanks have a good day . Let’s be responsible and sensible what we put out on social media."
Pant has had an edition to forget for LSG in his maiden season with the team. From 12 matches, he scored just 135 runs at a strike rate of 100, averaging 12.27 — the lowest among IPL captains this season.
