Fraser-McGurk, who had struggled to score above nine runs in T20 matches since March 2025, reached his fifty in 21 balls. His initial half-century included six sixes and one four.

The Unicorns were at 167-4 with six and a half overs remaining when Fraser-McGurk was dismissed. Had he stayed until the end, he might have challenged Finn Allen's MLC record score of 151 not out from two days prior.
Fraser-McGurk's eleven sixes rank as the second-highest in a Major League Cricket innings, behind Allen's recent record of nineteen sixes. His achievement stands as the highest number of sixes by a non-opener in the competition.
This performance marks the 32nd instance in T20 history where a non-opener has hit eleven or more sixes. Fraser-McGurk's score of 88 equals Andre Russell's record for the lowest individual score containing eleven sixes, matching Russell's unbeaten 88 from 36 balls for KKR against CSK in IPL 2018.
The innings represents Fraser-McGurk's second-highest T20 score, following his 95 off 46 balls in the BBL earlier this year.
