IPL 2025 Cricket Live Score, CSK vs MI: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) kicked off their IPL 2025 campaign with a confident four-wicket victory over Mumbai Indians (MI) at Chepauk on Sunday. Chasing a modest target of 156, CSK rode on a match-winning unbeaten 65 by Rachin Ravindra and a fiery 53 by skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad to seal the win in 19.1 overs. Mumbai Indians, sent in to bat first, faced a dismal start as Rohit Sharma was dismissed for a four-ball duck by Khaleel Ahmed, marking his 18th IPL duck — the joint-most in tournament history. The top order faltered, but stand-in captain Suryakumar Yadav (29) and Tilak Varma (31) managed to stabilise the innings with a 51-run partnership. The turning point came when debutant Noor Ahmad wreaked havoc with his mystery spin, taking 4/18 and dismantling MI's middle order. Khaleel Ahmed also impressed with figures of 3/29. Deepak Chahar’s late cameo of 28 not out off 15 balls pushed MI to a somewhat competitive 155/9. In response, CSK’s chase was anchored by Ravindra and Gaikwad, who laid a solid foundation before Vignesh Puthur (3/32) briefly threatened to derail their progress. However, Ravindra's calmness saw CSK through with five balls to spare, starting their season on a high.
